My approach focuses on helping you use awareness so you can feel more in control. It's not uncommon to have periods when our emotions feel overwhelming or our thoughts won't slow down and then we feel stuck. I help people learn strategies to reduce in-the-moment intensity and to become curious about these patterns of feelings and thoughts. Doing this will allow you to understand them more. Oftentimes these patterns are attempts to try and soothe something or help us in some way. By understanding them, we can develop other methods to meet those same needs as you move forward in your journey toward healing.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks to practice identifying birds or plants. Being in nature has always been enjoyable and grounding for me. I also play the Irish tin whistle and jam out with at some of the local sessions to play Irish traditional music.
Every day I take a walk. This is super important for me as a way of getting my body moving to help start my morning as well as throughout the day is a nice break to re-charge and decompress. It serves as important transition points throughout the day and gives me a space to check-in with myself and simply enjoy the sights.
I have two cats and I swear one is a ninja. He knows how to get into the upper cabinets and always is finding new hiding spots. I hadn't seen him for a few hours one day and couldn't find him in his usual spots and after panicking for a bit and re-searching, I realized he had found a way to go inside of my couch! Never a dull moment.
