My approach to therapy is warm, companionate, and empathetic. My philosophy is that everyone can become the happy, effective person they desire. Finding and using new skills to access happiness is critical. I use Motivational Interviewing to help my clients gain the motivation they need to change the behaviors that are preventing them from making healthier personal or professional decisions. My training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches also helps me address the depression and anxiety that we all experience on our journey through life. I use Solution-focused therapy to place focus on a person’s present and future goals rather than past experiences and empower them to find tools that they can use to manage symptoms and cope with challenges.

Traveling, reading, listening to classical music, hiking, spending quality time with my family and friends, taking my dogs for walks, or playing with them.
I take short walks almost every day and try to watch something funny before going to bed.
I recharge by going out into nature and immersing myself in the beauty and tranquility of my surroundings.
