Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Relational, Solution-focused, Strengths-based
Since obtaining my license, I have worked full time at a Community Health Clinic where I provide therapy to black and brown people in Oakland with diagnosis of mostly PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. I also work for a group practice where I provide therapy to Kaiser clients dealing with various life stressors. My therapy style involves using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for clients to gain insight into how their thoughts influence their emotions and behavior. I also used a strength-based approach to help clients gain insight into what their strengths are and what is going well in their lives.

I worked as a school counselor and although I had the passion to work with youth and lead groups and provided individual counseling, I also needed to further my education and obtained my masters and received my license so that I could provide therapy to communities of color.
I enjoy bikram yoga and hanging out with my children.
I use guided meditations daily, as they help keep me balanced and mindful.
Think and Grow Rich- A Black choice as it is very motivational and helps me keep on the path to my long term goals.
MISSSEY organization is a non-profit I love, as they provide services to young women that have been sexually exploited. They provide job opportunities, counseling services, and I often work with them and have clients through their organization.
Doing hot yoga, enjoying a good movie, spending time with my children, listening to music.
