Therapy Style

Helping my clients understand their identities and stay true to these identities is a main priority. I believe this is essential to a healthy relationship, lasting satisfaction in life, and reaching your potential.

In order to do this, I like to dig deep with clients, uncover ways that they are not staying true to who they are. I like to uncover how experiences of the past are causing them to have emotional responses in the current that create distance from those they love most.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I studied English Literature and French film in college because I love people and because I love stories that teach me about the human experience. Moving into therapy was a natural progression toward furthering understanding the human experience in a much more hands on way. I have fallen in love with helping people gain some control over their own experiences.

How do you recharge?

Lighthearted TV shows!

What book have you read more than once?

Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion. It reminds me of the beauty of culture when feeling jaded and it helps me feel connected to home (Los Angeles).
