Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused, Strengths-based
I believe that the most important determining factor for treatment success is the quality of the therapeutic relationship, which should be built on a foundation of safety, trust, and the spirit of collaboration. I take a client-centered, culturally sensitive, and strengths based approach to therapy. I determine my plan of care based upon the unique needs of each client, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. My role is to help you facilitate the change you would like to see in your life, to support you in coping more effectively with life's stressors, and to navigate life's transitions. My style is to approach each client with acceptance, empathy, and authenticity as walk alongside them on the path to wellness.

I read this daily affirmation every morning:
"I choose to believe I am well regarded and well received by every person I meet.
My talents and abilities are known and recognized by those I meet.
My efforts are well rewarded.
My activities are fruitful.
Mentally I take my place among those who get what they go after."
The Giver by Lois Lowry, it reminds me that the differences among us are what make us interesting, and it emphasizes the importance of freedom of choice and right to self determination.
I practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things I'm thankful for, and acknowledging the positive.
