I am a mental health counselor with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and adults. I treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, stress, and trauma.
My theoretical background is based in Attachment Theory, which addresses bonds we create in childhood via our caregivers which may result in an insecure attachment style as adults. Most trauma and mental health issues stem from the attachment style we developed as children.
I have trained in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Managing and Adaptive Practice (MAP). I have successfully used Brainspotting (BSP) via telehealth to help resolve issues related to trauma.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and client goal-oriented. We discuss areas of difficulty and what changes a client would like to address. The clinical interventions are carefully tailored to the client and with the client’s input. Progress is measured at each check-in.
