I am the type of therapist that is always curious and open to helping my clients come up with unique solutions to life's setbacks.

My Therapy Style

I am the type of therapist that is always curious and open to helping my clients come up with unique solutions to life's setbacks. Life is very challenging and finding the right therapist should be seamless. If you're interested in finding a holistic approach to seek harmony in mind, body and wellness, this is the first step of awareness for the work to begin.

My approach when working with clients is a bespoke process of addressing life's demands and gaining insight into these challenges. We will have an opportunity during our session to see new perspectives whether it be related to personal, family, relationships, or other goals you've been trying to obtain. Our goal when working together is to move you forward from any obstacles affecting your life and help you regain focus, creativity, and change. I utilize various modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, and solution-focused to initiate the next step for the new you. Culturally connecting your mind and body with presence and intention!

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have always had an interest in helping others in the mental health field and learned this from early on working as a paraprofessional in the psychology field. My passion is helping others especially when it comes to encouraging and empowering to better the human race. I find that compassion, empathy, and confidence are my superpowers when I collaborate in my partnerships with clients.

What are your interests outside of work?

I am an endurance runner and when I'm asked what race I'm training for, my answer is always "training for life." I enjoy running half marathons and marathons out on the road or on trails in nature so I can reconnect with myself and with the outdoors. I love spending time with my family, traveling to immerse myself in other cultures, and spending time with others with a delicious meal.

What book have you read more than once?

I enjoy referencing Unbreakable by Jay Glazer because it is an insight into his truth about experiencing depression and how he overcame it with determination, mindset, and seeking support. There is no sugar coating to his "gray" and gives such a real perspective of what happens in the mind when shifting from suffering to sustaining.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Alliance on Aging are the services provided to our elderly community which is always underserved and forgotten when it comes to mental health and many other challenges and disparities this population is facing. We all age and I have been given the opportunity to understand how we can support our elders.
