Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-focused
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a background working with adults, young and old. Through a warm and personable demeanor, clear communication style and light-hearted humor, I utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy and client-centered approach when joining with clients to help them achieve the positive lasting change they are seeking.
I also may place an emphasis on identifying and strengthening healthy relationships and increasing a sense of meaning and purpose as these are often significant factors in the overall health and wellbeing of a client. I incorporate attachment theory and humanistic theory-based approaches to address this with clients.
I view all clients with an understanding that they already have so much of what they need within themselves to move through the challenges they face. Sometimes we may just need the right guide and a safe and comfortable space to hold up a mirror and help us discover what we already have within us to overcome our own unique struggles and thrive.
