I embrace an integrative, goal-oriented approach to therapy sessions. I cultivate an experience, meeting my clients where they are at, not subjecting to labels, taking time to understand their culture, experience and ideologies of life.
I have developed an expertise in several treatment modalities with a concentration on anxiety, relationships/couples, career building, culture-related issues.

I did not know I always wanted to be one; I just believe this profession always aligned with my thinking, before I even knew it. I had aspirations for many other careers. However, my critical thinking and ways of philosophizing life experiences kept leading me to psychology. Those experiences and other influences led me to concentrate my studies in Marriage and Family Therapy. It was one of those professions that was kind of 'too good to be true.' I was always motivated through Hip Hop Music and culture. Becoming a mental health professional allowed me to live out my passion.
I am a Hip Hop enthusiast and basketball lover. I can gain interest in any sports and cherish the art behind all genres of music. Yet, I see the therapeutic value in both. I am truly passionate about my craft and career. "Work" is deeper than a paycheck, my clients are iron which sharpens my tools. You can always learn from 'outside of work' experiences. I am also a family man and love to turn the switch off and relax with my kids.
I am true advocate and believer of a firm routine. I have several components to my routine including exercise, self care and relaxation that helps me recharge. My self care and routine is most likely not much different from yours. I have taken time to understand its not the activities themselves as much as the efforts to create them. I recharge by staying disciplined to create time for myself.
