My approach is heavily focused on cognitive therapy and solution-focused, identifying short-term goals, being action-oriented, and actively engaging in therapy. Our work together is collaborative and focused on your individual needs and goals that you want to accomplish during our work together. Keeping in mind a social justice approach, my clinical experience has been working with individuals who experience life stressors including life transitions, family issues, mood and anxiety problems, and trauma-related stressors. I have worked with families and adults in community mental health. Why did you become a mental health professional?

Being a first gen Latino, and having personal and professional experiences with therapy, I realized I wanted to be a psychologist. I wanted to continue to break the stigma we often encounter regarding mental health in our families and communities, and I believe that we all change and improve our lives.

What are your interests outside of work?

I like to spend time with my 3 rescue dogs, reading, and spending time with my family.

How do you recharge?

I enjoy my coffee!
