Your time and your story are precious resources, so it's important to entrust them to a therapist with whom you feel safe. I am often described as relatable, humorous, direct, gentle, and compassionate.
I have come to believe that so much of what is labeled as mental health conditions, can better be described as understandable attempts at coping with untenable situations and emotions. By definition then, my approach is empowering and non-pathologizing. There is so much more right with you than wrong with you!
While I have many methods in my toolbox as a therapist, the most important is having an authentic, caring professional relationship with my clients. It takes courage to come to therapy, and I take my duty to act in your best interests very seriously.
