My Therapy Style

I am a therapist committed to helping others learn how to improve upon the lives they are living. My work focuses on meeting you where you are, supporting you with warmth, and moving forward together to make adjustments where you see fit. I believe that change lives through genuine connection and collaboration, and I am looking forward to fostering those possibilities for you.

I work through the structure and goal-oriented theory of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating the genuine connection emphasized in a humanistic approach. I’m passionate about supporting others through transitional milestones in life, making changes to behaviors that are no longer serving you, and helping you take a closer look at who you truly are.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Human behavior is completely fascinating to me, and I have always loved being able to help others. Combining these two elements brings me joy and allows me to serve others by helping them grow and understand themselves.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Yoga - whether it's an active practice or passive stretching.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Unite to Light - favorite due to personal ties. It started as a graduate project that my husband supported in research and development, and it has become supported and run by a community I am attached to. It creates solar lights that are distributed to communities in Africa to move away from burning coal. It originally was meant to provide lights for children in school once the sun sets, but it has also become incredibly useful in birthing children at night for midwives due to the flexibility of the light's structure. Both are areas I am passionate about!

How do you recharge?

Reading, knitting, doing yoga, attempting to lay on the couch with my 2 year old if she sits still long enough to cuddle.
