Therapy Style

I work with people who want to feel happy, and safe, and able to connect with others. Often when we are feeling overwhelmed and that our life is out of our control we try to make things better by relying on old patterns of behavior that did not work before. I can show you how these patterns developed and how subtle changes can have completely different outcomes. As a therapist, my goal is to give you a safe place to create space for you to express yourself without judgment. Let's explore what's troubling you and develop ways to facilitate change.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I am a first-generation Latina and I believe it is important to address generational and cultural trauma. I enjoy hearing someone's story and allowing space to help my clients be a better version of themselves.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy working out including weightlifting and indoor cycling. I also enjoy listening to music and collecting vinyl records. I also spend time with my fiancé and my Rottweiler, Kilo.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I meditate every night before I go to bed. It allows me to clear my mind and allow myself a peaceful night's rest.

What book have you read more than once?

To Kill A Mockingbird. I love this book because of its complexity and plea for justice.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

CURE Epilepsy. I have a sister that suffers from Epilepsy. I support their mission to fund research for Epilepsy.

How do you recharge?

I enjoy sleeping. I believe that sleep is essential for a mind and body reset.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! I have a Rottweiler named Kilo. He is the biggest Rottweiler I have seen. He is the boss of the house and will kick us off the couch.
