Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I like to see people happy, I like to know that people are experiencing happiness. When we struggle with mental health, it can be difficult to feel or live in happiness. As a mental health professional, I can help destigmatize mental health and help people reach their goals so that they can live a happy life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy playing tennis, pilates, spending time with loved ones, and reading.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Practice gratitude first thing after opening my eyes. It helps me start the day in a positive way.

How do you recharge?

I recharge myself by going to therapy once per week, spending time in nature where I can use most or all my senses, making time during my day to just focus on practicing mindfulness, detoxing from using my phone, and taking a nap when needed.

Do you have any pets?

I currently do not have any pets. I grew up with 3 dogs and enjoy animals in general, especially when they make an appearance in therapy sessions.
