I did my training with adoptees, foster care, and attachment trauma. Since becoming a therapist, I have continued my training with trauma and have extensive experience with positive parenting, managing work/life balance, managing life's challenging transitions, and anxiety.
I use eclectic approaches along with evidence-based models to ensure my clients feel the treatment is based on their own individual needs. I love collaborating and using concrete interventions so my clients feel as though they are leaving therapy with a toolbox of coping skills. I believe that my clients should be active participants and transparent if our approach needs to be modified. I will assign homework when I see fit and ensure my clients leave the session knowing what to focus on in that coming week.
