As a therapist, it is my goal to work with you to help you unlock your greatness and move past any barriers that are holding you back.

My Therapy Style

In the past 11 years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families in a therapeutic partnership. Making the decision to focus on oneself and start working with a therapist can be life-changing and I applaud you for taking the time to focus on yourself. Therapy can be enlightening and help create positive and lasting changes. But it can also be intimidating when starting this process. This is why the therapeutic relationship is so important. As a therapist, it is my goal to work with you to help you unlock your greatness and move past any barriers that are holding you back.

I utilize a comprehensive approach and believe that each individual has unique needs. This is why I utilize multiple approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and a Family Systems approach. I also utilize mindfulness practices. My focus of work has been with diverse backgrounds who have struggled with issues of depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, substance use, divorce, and marital issues.

Therapy can be challenging and change is difficult. Your therapeutic goals and desire for change can be achieved. My goal is to be your partner through this therapeutic journey.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I went into this field because I always had a passion for working with others. It started as a child working on projects with friends. As a teenager, I enjoyed babysitting and working with disabled youth. As an adult, I have dedicated my professional life to working with individuals, offering increased insight, and helping my clients achieve their therapeutic goals.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love to travel and learn about different cultures and interesting food. I also have a passion for cooking and spend a lot of time creating new dishes.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

On a daily basis, I utilize meditation and exercise to help support my mental health. I find that meditation keeps me grounded and exercise releases endorphins that increase my feelings of happiness.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

I love the Polaris Project. The Polaris Project focuses on efforts and research against human trafficking as well as fundraising. I am also a supporter of the National Foundation of Cancer Research which helps to fund cancer research and prevention efforts.

How do you recharge?

I often recharge through exercise, travel research, or doing something special with my kids. I love to plan vacations. I also enjoy creating delicious meals for my family.

Do you have any pets?

My cat Moe is the sweetest cat I have ever met. Last year he developed hepatic lipidosis and pancreatitis. Moe had to have a feeding tube placed for his treatment. Moe was so brave and I’m happy to say he made a full recovery.
