Therapy Style

I deeply believe that everyone has the strengths, wisdom, inner knowing, and ancestral support to heal themselves. My goal is to co-create a safe, non-judgmental, caring, consent-based space for you to process, reflect, find your medicines, release what is no longer serving you, and remember and reconnect to your roots and strengths.

I am passionate about serving adults from all different cultural backgrounds. I have over twelve years of professional experience as a Therapist in a variety of community-based settings. I identify as Xicana / Multi-Ethnic and use she/her pronouns. I offer therapy from an Anti-Racist, De-colonial, Holistic, Social Justice, Strength-Based, and Trauma-Informed lens.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Listen to music.

What book have you read more than once?

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Each time I read it I learn something. My favorite chapter is "Allegiance to Gratitude" which includes the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address / The Words Before All Else.

How do you recharge?

Being in or next to bodies of water, nature, tending to my plants/garden, cooking delicious meals, moving my body, stretching, catching up with friends, resting, and doing puzzles.

Do you have any pets?

I have two pets, a Xoloitzcuintle and Boston Terrier. My favorite story is when my Boston Terrier sat in front of my ancestor's altar and stared at it. She's done it a handful of times and reminds me of the sacred interconnectedness between all beings.
