Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I wanted to be of service towards others in ways that could change lives and assist in the client's growth to create a more joyful life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love nature, hiking, long walks and daily exercise. I love the ocean as it is my own personal sanctuary. I love spending time with my partner and friends.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Every morning I start my day with exercise and listening to music that uplifts me and drink a good amount of water to stay hydrated.

What book have you read more than once?

The Power of Now. It reminds me to stay in the moment!

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organizations usually have to do with animals as I am a BIG animal lover!

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking walks and moving my body. Whenever I can, I go to the beach as I love the ocean and the power that is has. I do a daily workout and connect with my daughter and other family members. I reframe my thinking with optimistic thoughts with what I call the Positive What If's.

Do you have any pets?

I used to have dogs but they passed. My latest pet story is of a cat we had named Mowis. Mowis used to hang out with me all the time since I work virtually and when I would work out, Mowis would lie on the bed looking at me and I bet he was saying "Better you than me" Mowis also liked to sit in things such as open suitcases, open dishwasher or my laptop!!
