I believe you are the expert of your life. I am willing to work with you to achieve your goals and reach your healed self.
My style as a clinician is very genuine and warm. I often encourage my clients to provide feedback on my work and their experience in treatment. I tailor their treatment based on their feedback. I also encourage my clients to become aware of their cultural background and the cultural differences in sessions by using core conditions from the Person-Centered Approach and a multicultural approach. I welcome my clients to teach me about their culture and language and use their language in sessions to create a safe space for them. When needed, I empower my clients to view their issues from a cultural/societal perspective. In addition, I work with my clients to implement techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral techniques and mindfulness techniques to process their thoughts and feelings.
When it comes to treatment interventions and orientations, I am very elective. I am willing to learn new techniques and skills and apply what works for my clients and their presenting symptoms in sessions. My main theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Approach.
It takes courage to seek help. However, that you are doing so represents a sign of resilience in you. I appreciate you placing trust in me and am willing to be a supportive part of your healing journey.
