My Therapy Style

I am not a passive or silent therapist who only listens; my role is to help create structure in therapy conversations and to help clients make sense of their goals and concerns. I focus on helping male clients and have particular specialties in gay men's issues, low self-esteem, existential concerns, and Autism. I have worked as a therapist for over 15 years and have much experience treating clients from a humanistic person-centered and Solution-focused approach to therapy.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My journey as a therapist is rooted in a desire to help people figure out how to live happier and more fulfilling lives.

What are your interests outside of work?

I like watching sci-fi movies. I also enjoy the outdoors. I also like art and antiquing.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Listening to music and taking a walk.

What book have you read more than once?

Arnold Schwarzenegger's book Be Useful: 7 Tools for Life. I like the ideas discussed.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Prospect Park Alliance. I love the park.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, two Siamese cats - Kitten and Smitten. They are cute and sometimes rambunctious!
