The focus is on what is of most importance to an individual. My clinical perspective is warm, genuine, non-judgmental, Strengths-based, and goal-oriented. I am focused on the here and now and I want to know what is important to you and how we can move you towards your mental wellness goals. Overall, I have diverse experiences revolving around my desire to continue to empower individuals to find their most authentic selves. I help my clients build greater self-awareness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I have addressed a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I am passionate about supporting and serving others and have engaged in serving my community since my childhood. Through my personal and professional experiences with individuals from all walks of life, I find joy.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, exercise, dancing, and photography.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I engage in daily quiet reflection, prayer, and meditation which prepare me to support others in building their own mental and emotional well-being.

What book have you read more than once?

I highly recommend Sacred Rest: Recover Your Life, Renew Your Energy, Restore Your Sanity by Saundra Dalton-Smith. It will transform your understanding of what rest and recover you need each day.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite non-profit organization is the National Alliance on Mental Illness and because it values mental health awareness, advocacy, and accessibility.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking time away from electronic devices including my computer and phone.
