Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

As a Latin Jewish woman from Miami, the concept of Tikkun Olam, which advocates for repairing and improving the world, has been my guiding light and the driving force behind my decision to become a psychotherapist. With five years of experience as an oncology social worker, I've witnessed the immense impact of compassion and support on people facing challenging life changes. Now, in my own practice, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, and the art of effective communication and self-expression.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, puzzles, and cuddling with my cats.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Every day I enjoy going for walks after work to destress, reading, and gardening.

What book have you read more than once?

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom is a book that leaves a lasting impression with its lessons on forgiveness, understanding, and the interconnectedness of humanity. Each time you read it, you uncover new layers of wisdom that resonate deeply with your own life experiences. Its timeless message reminds you of the importance of empathy and the power of redemption, making it a book you'd eagerly return to for guidance and inspiration again and again.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite non-profit is Hillel International because they help provide support to college students and I helped create a Hillel at my university.

How do you recharge?

I recharge every morning my implementing hot yoga into my morning routine.

Do you have any pets?

My cat Blue is a Munchkin breed and every morning he likes to sit in the window to allow our neighbor's son to pet him through the window.
