Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I think people are fascinating. I love assessing the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence thoughts and behaviors. I am passionate about helping people gain insight and self-awareness to overcome the challenges they face.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, gardening, attending stand-up comedy, and binge-watching good stories—everything from docuseries to suspense dramas, and reality shows!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I wake early and spend quiet time in a mindfulness activity that keeps me centered throughout each day.

How do you recharge?

I recharge in a number of ways; reaching out to friends and family to catch up whenever possible; spending alone time - sometimes just a few minutes at the end of a day with a cup of tea; going for a jog around the Rose Bowl, filling my planter with new flowers, or watching YouTube videos on various personality mental disorders - there's so much out there!
