It is important to me to start where my clients are and provide a safe collaborative relationship to work towards their goals.

My Therapy Style

At first, my career was focused on advocacy and mobilizing communities around social injustice. I then decided to shift my focus to clinical work and since becoming licensed I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds. It is important to me to start where my clients are and provide a safe collaborative relationship to work towards their goals. Treating my clients with a trauma-informed lens is vital to create a safe space to allow for healing. I use a variety of modalities to best identify my client's needs and provide an individualized treatment plan.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My experiences from a young age brought to my attention the impacts of mental health conditions. This instilled a desire to work in mental health once beginning college.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy Disney and Universal Parks, reading, attending book club, spending time with my cat, spending time with family and friends, and going to concerts.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Spending time with my cat and engaging in at least one enjoyable activity per day.

What book have you read more than once?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone because I first read it when I was an adolescent and wanted to experience the book as an adult.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

IDignity because it provides a vital resource and service for the homeless population in Central Florida.

How do you recharge?

Spend time relaxing with family and friends, reading a book at home, or relaxing by the beach.

Do you have any pets?

I have a hairless Sphynx cat named Draco. When I first adopted him, he came home to my other Sphynx cat Liah and for a while, they did not get along. The day they both began to cuddle and love each other is my favorite pet memory.
