I can help you uncover the root of your difficulties so you can finally move forward with confidence.

My Therapy Style

I believe that underneath all of our challenges is fear. Oftentimes, these fears are unconscious, yet they continue to rule our lives. I've seen time and time again how much these fears can hold people back from living fulfilling, authentic lives, where they are finally doing what they want to do and saying what they really want to say.

From my advanced training working with trauma and PTSD, I have learned that working with the subconscious fears that live in the body is imperative for healing. I have trained in a variety of somatic (body-based) approaches such as EMDR that can help you uncover the root of your difficulties so you can finally move forward with confidence.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Studying psychology for my undergraduate degree was great. It didn't feel like work, and I enjoyed what I was learning. I loved applying it to real-life situations. I was a bit of an "armchair psychologist" before I got my credentials.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love going on road trips and exploring new areas!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Some form of movement, whether with hikes, dancing, or yoga.

What book have you read more than once?

The Four Agreements. I've come back to the teachings of this book time and time again. They are valuable reminders to be intentional in how we think and act.

Do you have any pets?

I have a cat named Luna. My favorite story is how I manifested her! I had just moved into a new residence where cats were allowed and was so excited to finally get a cat. I knew I wanted the cat to come to me somehow instead of going to a shelter. One morning I set an affirmation of opening my heart to all the souls that were meant to come my way, intending this for human relationships and new people to work with as a therapist.

Within an hour, someone I knew posted a photo of a beautiful white cat with blue eyes on Instagram, saying they found her and were looking for a home for her. I was in love. I asked to see a video to get a feel for her personality and loved her confidence at only 2 months old. I knew I needed her in my life, and the people who found her drove her down from LA to San Diego the next day, on the 20th anniversary of my grandmother's death. She lives a lavish life here in Encinitas :)
