Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I grew up around family members with mental illness and wanted to understand mental illness and be able to help others that were seeking relief and healing.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy hiking, immersing self in other cultures, bird-watching, baseball, drag culture/performance.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I walk my dog; and I try to get a massage weekly.

What book have you read more than once?

I have read all of Murakami's books but my favorite is probably Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Despite some sexist imagery, it is an other-worldly story that is confusing and unpredictablet.

How do you recharge?

Quiet time, massages and hiking are my main ways of recharging.

Do you have any pets?

I always have at least one dog and have since I was born. I feel like life wouldn't be complete without a dog in my life.
