Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I was drawn to become a mental health professional because of my deep-seated passion for helping others navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strengths. Growing up, I found fulfillment in volunteering with children, which sparked my interest in understanding human behavior and emotions. This curiosity led me to pursue a career where I could support individuals in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and nonjudgmental space. Ultimately, becoming a therapist felt like a natural calling—a way for me to make a meaningful difference in people's lives and empower them to lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my beloved dog, especially when we're out hiking together and exploring the beautiful trails around LA. Staying active through exercise is important to me, whether it's going for a run, practicing yoga, or simply taking leisurely walks. I also appreciate the relaxed pace of life in LA, and I often find myself unwinding by spending quality time with friends, reading a good book, or exploring the vibrant arts and culture scene the city has to offer.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Each day, I prioritize activities that nurture my mental and emotional well-being. This includes starting my day with mindfulness meditations to center myself and set a positive tone for the day ahead. Throughout the day, I practice daily affirmations to cultivate self-love and confidence. Spending quality time with loved ones brings me immense joy and helps me feel connected. Additionally, I make time for self-care activities like exercise, journaling, and engaging in hobbies that replenish my energy and creativity. These daily practices play a crucial role in supporting my overall well-being and resilience.

Do you have any pets?

I have a wonderful dog named Luna, and she has this hilarious habit of howling every time a fire truck passes by. What's even funnier is that her howl sounds exactly like the siren of the fire truck! It never fails to bring a smile to my face and brighten my day.
