Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I embarked on the journey of becoming a mental health professional driven by a profound passion for aiding individuals in their pursuit of well-being. Witnessing the transformative power of support during my own experiences inspired me to dedicate myself to helping others navigate life's challenges. My commitment lies in providing empathetic guidance, fostering resilience, and empowering individuals to discover their innate strength on their path to mental health and fulfillment.

What are your interests outside of work?

Beyond my role as a mental health professional, I find joy and rejuvenation in various interests. Exploring the world of gardening and visiting plant stores is not just a hobby but a source of serenity for me. Outside these pursuits, spending cherished moments with my furry friends and loved ones adds a vital dimension to my life, reinforcing the importance of connection and balance in my own well-being.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

In my commitment to self-care, I carve out a dedicated 30-minute window daily. During this time, I put my phone aside, creating a space free from digital distractions. This ritual serves as a deliberate pause, allowing me to focus entirely on personal reflection, relaxation, and activities that rejuvenate my mind and spirit.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

STAND! holds a special place in my heart as my favorite organization. Their multifaceted approach to addressing issues like domestic violence, child abuse, and broader family-related challenges resonates deeply with my values. By providing a range of resources and support, they play a pivotal role in fostering resilience and positive transformation within communities impacted by violence and adversity.
