Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy being outside, hiking, and sometimes playing disc golf. I am just a beginner and am greatly enjoying the process. I am also an amateur musician, playing multiple instruments in community-based groups. I enjoy working out with weights and looking for new healthy recipes to try.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I really enjoy and benefit from daily breathing practices. I find that intentional, conscious breathing helps me regulate my nervous system, reconnects me with my body, and gives me a sense of calm and being grounded. I enjoy the practice of toning and chanting, specifically along with a drone sound.

What book have you read more than once?

Einstein’s Dreams by Alan Lightman - This very profound and poetic book is a meditation on the creative processes that Einstein used to realize his theories of time and relativity. It speaks to how our perspective, expectations, and understanding shape our experience of the world, and it allows the reader to explore the many different forms that time can take.

How do you recharge?

Playing my guitar, spending time with loved ones, learning Spanish with Duolingo, going outside, splitting wood, looking at trees, and breathing deeply.
