Therapy Style

My approach is warm, transparent, and collaborative. My aim is to build a trustworthy relationship with you, from which we can jointly address difficult thoughts, complex emotions, or challenging situations presented in life. We will work together to integrate suitable evidence-based strategies with the ultimate objective to build healthier habits to adjust the way you feel, think, and behave.

For over 10 years, I have been in the field working with youth, families, and adults through various life challenges toward a more enriching and fulfilling life. I love facilitating the therapeutic process because I believe that everyone deserves to be acknowledged and to have their voice found and heard. In the therapeutic work, I take into account the many identities we embody and how society and culture impact our mental health. It brings me great satisfaction and humility to be in a role where my clinical knowledge, skills, and warm approach nourishes transformation from distress to confidence and contentment.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, yoga, cooking, and spending quality time with my family.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

My daily self-care practice includes body scans and deep breathing.

How do you recharge?

To recharge, I like to disconnect by hiking, gardening, traveling to a new place, or trying a new recipe.

Do you have any pets?

I have a Shiba that we adopted while living in Japan. She gives me the most adorable greeting when I arrive home. She flattens her ears like shown in many Shiba memes on the internet. It's like being greeted by an adorable plane about to land!
