My Therapy Style

I consider my therapeutic approach to be personable and genuine. Therapy isn’t always easy which is why I emphasize that therapy is a team approach, starting where you are and we work together to make positive changes. I would describe my therapeutic approach as empathetic, compassionate, non-judgmental, collaborative, and empowering. I believe that fostering a welcoming, safe, and secure therapeutic relationship is important. I want my clients to feel heard, seen, and understood. We all have different personal needs and I also find it important to integrate them in therapy.

As a mother of two boys, and being married, I know life can be challenging, whether it is relationship challenges, motherhood, perinatal, marital, workplace, social challenges, etc., I am here to help my clients heal and grow. I practice different modalities such as person-centered, Strengths-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-focused, Solution-Focused, and Psychodynamic, all while practicing culturally sensitive care.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I have always liked to be supportive of others. I found my true passion in the mental health field. It has been a truly fulfilling field to which I find myself gravitating back to consistently. I have had clients meet their goals and regain a sense of control in their life, which truly makes me want to help others and stay in the mental health profession.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending quality family time with my two young boys and husband, whether that is going for a walk, playing ball, exploring something new, or going to the beach or arcades. I also enjoy taking on DIY projects and doing hands-on activities such as gardening, making home improvements, or painting and coloring. I also incorporate alone time while doing self-care activities that I enjoy.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Meditating helps support my mental and emotional well-being whether it is to refresh my state of mind or as a relaxation technique.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by spending some time outside, whether it is five to ten minutes outside alone getting fresh air or sitting in my backyard while my two boys play.
