Therapy Style

My style of therapy is warm, authentic, direct, and down-to-earth. My approach in sessions is to assist clients to connect with the strengths and resilience they may or may not be aware they have and support them to utilize those to make changes in their lives that are consistent with their goals in therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to be sure that therapy feels meaningful and beneficial. I believe strongly that each human has the capacity to heal, no matter how large or small their challenge appears.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love taking walks with my pandemic puppy Georgia, laughing with my family, seeing live music, and eating good food!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

It's hard to choose one, but I would say that laughter is at the top of the list!

What book have you read more than once and why?

A Little Life. It is truly a book about resilience and connection, two of the most powerful tools we have in life. I am in awe of the characters in this book and their ability to love, live and heal.

Favorite non-profit?

Salmon River Restoration Council. They are working to restore and maintain a healthy river environment in a rural town where I grew up.
