My Therapy Style

My therapy style is client-centered and solution-oriented. I have worked with a wide variety of populations including all diagnoses, all ages, couples, etc. for several years. I typically combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, emotional regulation, techniques, stress management, and a multitude of other modalities specific to each client’s treatment plan. An area of strength would be working with geriatrics to address issues in their current phase of life. Additionally, I am well-versed in working through the treatment of mood disorders and substance abuse.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My initial interest in the field was because I found human behavior to be fascinating. As my education progressed, I found it to be a rewarding experience when people trusted me with their life stories. I can impact their personal growth to better their future.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy art, music, reading, and hiking.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Meditation and deep breathing practices.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking a walk on the beach or spending time with my family and friends.

Do you have any pets?

My dog's name is Gusgus and, as a puppy, he was an energetic klutz. There is not enough time for me to detail all the quirky things that he has done throughout the joyful 2 years he has been in my life.
