I have been independently practicing for the past 11 years in the field of clinical psychology. I have worked extensively with active duty service members, Veterans, first responders, as well as the general population. I used an approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based styles to fit the needs of the particular client. I like to work collaboratively with my clients to ensure that their particular treatment goals and values are being prioritized.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have always had an interest in helping others. Psychology allows me to learn evidence-based ways of helping others grow and be more satisfied in their lives

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy reading, weight lifting, traveling and spending time with my kids.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Daily meditation.

What book have you read more than once?

I always return to When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. It is a beautiful reminder of learning to let go of anxiety and be in the present moment.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Humane Society, I have a deep love of animals.

I have three cats, a dog, and a lizard.
