Many of us don’t seek help or try to make changes until something becomes so uncomfortable that we can’t bear to stay the same. My goal is to help you make positive and lasting changes that ultimately result in decreased distress and help you live a more meaningful and present-focused life. I take a nonjudgmental and holistic approach by helping you to address problem areas that have caused you distress. I do this by providing a supportive and safe environment for you to explore what is inhibiting you from living aligned with your values and collaborating with you on how to identify flexible approaches to meeting your goals.
I’ve worked in mental health for over 10 years and have treated a wide range of clients who suffer from an array of mental health problems, including depression and anxiety, personality disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. I’ve worked in forensic settings, hospitals, and community outpatient clinics. My varied experience has taught me to treat the individual, not the symptoms, and has helped me to remain flexible and creative in my therapeutic approach.

When I’m not working, you can find me spending time outside hiking with my dogs, going to the beach, and stand-up paddle boarding. I also love to try new things, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
Being in mental health, I’ve realized how important self-care is because, without it, I can’t show up for myself or the people I care about. I strongly believe in the positive effects of exercise, so I make sure to prioritize movement each day. Sometimes that means walking my dogs and other times that means going to a spin class or Pilates.
My favorite book is The Outsiders because it shows that no matter what you’ve done in the past, it’s never too late to make positive changes and redefine yourself. It’s also a reminder to stay true to yourself and your values.
My favorite non-profit organization is True Natured Rescue. It’s a dog rescue that I volunteer with and saves dogs that are in high-kill shelters, just hours away from being euthanized. Aside from being a dog person, I love this rescue because it gives dogs that are discarded, second chances at life and reinforces my belief that we all deserve second chances at living a fulfilled life.
I recharge by meditating, reading, journaling, eating healthy, and getting a good night's sleep.
