My hope as a therapist is that I can give my clients tools they can use beyond the boundaries of therapy and make them applicable to their lives.

My Therapy Style

As a therapist, I want to help my clients get better and improve their quality of life. In therapy, we work as a team. I have the tools and my clients bring their life experiences. My hope as a therapist is that I can give my clients tools they can use beyond the boundaries of therapy and make them applicable to their lives.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

My dream was to help others improve their quality of life. Becoming a mental health professional has allowed me to be a part of a client’s life journey.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, cooking, going out to eat, trying new food, trying new cosmetic products, and cooking. I want to get back to exercising.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I have a morning routine and a bedtime routine. I make sure that I spend a little bit of time getting ready to start my day and go to bed every day.

What book have you read more than once?

I read the Harry Potter series when it first came out. Not only the plot was exciting, but I think that there was depth in the story. I also find it amazing that she created such a detailed world.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Blind Start Of America because I know the founder. I have learned about visual impairment and I have become aware of the needs of this population. Prior to having a family, I participated in some of the events organized by them and I have found them inspirational and educational.

How do you recharge?

I spend time with my son. Sometimes, we just stay home and I just cook his favorite meal for him. Sometimes, we go out and try something new that I see on social media.

Do you have any pets?

I currently don’t have a pet, but we did have Kuma, a Brussels Griffon, until December 2016. He hated the first Halloween costume I bought him. He plopped on the floor. I never got him another costume until what turned out to be the last Halloween. My son asked to find him a superhero costume since he was dressed as Superman. I found a Spider-Man costume for Kuma and he was so excited to wear that costume and go trick-or-treating.
