Practicing healing arts for over 2 decades, my therapy style is an eclectic combination of Eastern & Western healing modalities. I received my training both in India and USA and have practiced in both these democracies. From Western Perspective, I utilize Brain-focused approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. From Eastern Perspective, I utilize Somatic Approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Yoga Philosophy. I believe that change happens when a healer is present for her client with her complete being and this connection transcends the barrier of distance and physical space.
MA - Mental Health Counseling, University of Central Florida
Growing up in India, I lived in a multi-generational household with my uncles and aunts. This upbringing exposed me to the challenges of living with family members who faced mental health and disability issues, shedding light on how these issues affect the entire family dynamic. Additionally, my awareness of human suffering from an early age made me keenly attuned to the struggles and pain endured by those around me. As someone who is solution-oriented, I sought answers to empower individuals in coping with their difficulties, fueling my aspiration to become a mental health professional.
