Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to contribute to making a positive difference in people's lives. Seeing how many folks grapple with challenges in their mental and emotional well-being, I felt this strong urge to be part of the solution. My journey started with a genuine passion for helping others grow and navigate the twists and turns of life. It's all about using what I've learned to support and guide people toward a happier and healthier state of mind.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending quality time with my husband and our two children. Family is at the heart of my interests, and sharing moments together, whether it's a weekend outing or a cozy evening at home, brings me immense happiness. Beyond family, I also enjoy reading and meditating as they provide a well-rounded and fulfilling balance to my life. These personal pursuits not only bring joy and relaxation but also contribute to my overall well-being, enabling me to bring a positive and energized perspective to both my personal and professional life.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One daily practice that consistently supports my mental and emotional well-being is dedicating time for mindfulness meditation and gratitude. Taking a few moments each day to center myself, express gratitude for the present moment, and engage in mindful breathing helps me maintain a sense of balance and calm amidst life's demands. This intentional pause not only allows me to recharge but also enables me to manage stress more effectively. As a result, I approach both work and personal responsibilities with a clearer and more grounded mindset, fostering a positive and resilient outlook on life.

How do you recharge?

Recharging for me is a holistic blend of activities that cater to my mind, body, and spirit. Daily, I make it a point to spend quality family time with my husband and kids. I also make it a point to incorporate meditation into my routine as it provides a peaceful pause, allowing me to center myself and alleviate daily stress. A good laugh is like a daily vitamin for my emotional well-being, whether it's through a funny show, a conversation with loved ones, or a humorous read. This combination of family bonding, reading, meditation, and laughter creates a well-rounded approach to recharging, ensuring that I approach each day with a positive and revitalized mindset.
