Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I have a deep passion for helping individuals navigate their emotional and mental well-being. Witnessing the impact that mental health struggles can have on people's lives, I was inspired to pursue a career in this field to provide support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to those in need. I am driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve emotional well-being and lead fulfilling lives, and I am committed to facilitating that journey for my clients through empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices.

What are your interests outside of work?

My interests outside of work include exercise, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and relaxation. I enjoy staying active, cherish quality time with loved ones, find solace in nature through hiking, and prioritize relaxation for mental well-being.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One daily practice that supports my mental and emotional well-being involves combining movement and being outdoors. This has become a cornerstone of my self-care routine. I find that this helps boost my mental and emotional well-being by providing a consistent source of relaxation, a connection to nature, and a positive outlook on life.

What book have you read more than once?

One book that I have read many times is Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love. I love this book because it offers inspiration, relatability, and a sense of connection to the author's journey to self-discovery and healing. I love how each country represents a different aspect of her personal growth and transformation.
