Therapy Style

Help me understand your hurt, and you will no longer be alone in it. I would be honored to join you in your healing journey. Let's be intentional in our daily lives and create meaning in the "good" and "bad" days, as well as the "everything in between" days.

I encourage you to consider how the way we think is the way we feel. Let's uncover the kernels of truth in our negative thinking and work to adopt more adaptive perspectives to regain power over our toughest critic: our own self. As we work together, I will balance meeting you where you are at and appropriately apply therapeutic interventions to challenge you.

We can find balance in creating meaning and honoring the stresses and grief that life has to offer, and decide together how to adaptively, intentionally, and meaningfully move forward in our lives.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

As a child, my grandfather asked me, "What do you think this world needs most?" I've come to realize that the answer to that question is relationships. As a therapist, I can take part in so many meaningful, beautiful relationships.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Farm Sanctuary in Acton, CA. Just like humans, animals can have traumatic, troubled pasts and need safe spaces to heal and be loved too.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

Tend to my chickens, cuddle my cats and dogs, and spend time outdoors.
