My Therapy Style

I am here to help you navigate what it means for you to move toward healing and believe every one of us has the capacity to heal. Often, this journey begins when we bravely step into our stories and allow ourselves to show up and be seen, despite the possible fear and messiness that can come with it. We will work together to get to know you in a healthier way and ultimately to begin your journey toward healing!

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I was born and raised in an incredibly loving family that allowed me to have a sense of self-worth and value. I believe one of the greatest gifts we can give is walking along side individuals in discovering/re-discovering that value for themselves and therapy has allowed me to do so. Belief in our own self-worth is a beautiful step toward healing the wounded parts of ourselves.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love hosting and throwing events for friends and loved ones and have a mild paper and pen obsession!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Every single day I make sure to be outside, whether it is for 20 minutes or an hour. Immersing ourselves outdoors is so healing and usually a breath of fresh air is what my body and mind need multiple times throughout the day!

What book have you read more than once?

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb! This book is one of my favorites as it shows the humanity of therapists and clients alike.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Equal Justice Initiative. I believe that our judicial system has failed too many and while there is a system needed, EJI fights to provide legal representation to those who were wrongly convicted or unfairly sentenced in addition to being a voice that challenges racial injustice. We need more people fighting for the vulnerable and being a voice for those who often go unseen and unheard.

How do you recharge?

The beach is my sanctuary. As often as I can spend time there, I will. It's always a place that has allowed me to both go inward and just be.
