Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
Hello, my name is Lizbeth Hernandez. I have extensive experience working in mental health. I am passionate about the work that I do. The first phase of therapy is building a therapeutic alliance. I believe that without trust and transparency, my clients will not make the progress they need. I have over 20 years of experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and other areas that impair daily functioning.
MA - Counseling Psych, National University of Costa Mesa
I am passionate about helping others. I enjoy working with my clients and watching their progress while under my care, when I was a social worker, I enjoyed the one on one approach and it is what led to my journey as a therapist.
Family time and traveling. I enjoy exploring different countries.
I do self-check-ins at the end of the day to ask what went well and what didn’t go well that I would like to work on.
Yes, I have one doggy (pug) and a pig. My pig's name is Wilbur from the book Charlottes Web which was my favorite childhood book.
