My Therapy Style

As a Latina therapist, I have ample experience assisting the LGBTQIA+ population, immigrant people, and couples having difficulty becoming parents or transitioning to parenthood. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach for clients to find well-being. I have also worked with the elderly population to help them discover new meaning in life. Helping individuals find empowerment and joy in their new phase of life is a true joy as a provider. I am passionate about helping people increase their support systems, self-esteem, and assertive communication.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health therapist because mental health is just as important as physical health. Both are intertwined and should not be separated.

What are your interests outside of work?

My interests outside of work are going for walks, doing Zumba, reading, swimming, going to different farmer's markets, going to my local library, supporting community events, and dancing.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Drink plenty of water.

What book have you read more than once?

Real Food for Pregnancy by Lily Nichols. Her nutrition tips are fantastic and research-based.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Co-Dependent Anonymous (CoD.org) offers free community support groups for individuals who want to learn how to establish healthy boundaries and supportive relationships.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by spending time at the park with my family.

Do you have any pets?

I had a lizard growing up. If its tail falls off, they grow a new one. I still get inspired by this knowing that we too can grow after something fails.
