Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

From a young age, I have always had a deep longing to understand other people's experiences and what shapes them into the people that they are. Being a therapist allows me to constantly learn and grow through my clients and in turn, also learn more about myself.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy baking and cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I make sure that I get enough sleep and I have a gratitude practice.

What book have you read more than once?

Tuesdays with Morrie. It is a wonderful story about the power of human connection.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by getting reflexology massages, baking, reading, spending time in nature, and spending time with friends and family.

Do you have any pets?

I have a dog named Winnie. My favorite story about her is that I bought her as a puppy when coming across the Mexico/U.S. Border. I was told that she was a Maltese-poodle mix but when I did a DNA test I found that she's actually 75% chihuahua! Joke was on me. Not a malti-poo at all but I still love her.
