Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing
I am welcoming and friendly. I have twenty years of psychotherapy practice and believe every person and every day is an opportunity for better living. I believe learning your story with empathy and compassion is the foundation of an effective therapeutic alliance.
My approach is based on Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with client-centered unconditional positive regard. We will find areas of security, self-esteem, reassurance, and confidence.

I became emancipated at age 16 and after many years of working primarily as a truck driver and produce clerk, I became injured and needed to change my occupation. I initially studied music and business. During this time I became inspired by many therapists and teachers and eventually decided on psychotherapy as a career.
My interests include music, oil painting, hiking, travel, and spending time with loved ones. I also enjoy yard work, organic gardening, and handyman projects.
Every day I communicate with supportive family and friends.
Letters From the Earth, by Mark Twain. It was many years ago when I first read it. At that time I found it a challenging read with humor and perspective that caught my attention. Twain was my father's favorite author and I am reading it again now in memory of my father.
Salvation Army is my favorite organization because I like to recycle and give back. My daughter loves cruising these types of stores and it has become a thing to do for fun.
I recharge with good food, rest, and vacations.
I have one medium-sized lab/pointer mix named Fender. She is named after my guitar. She gets so excited when I get home.
