Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused
I am a client-centered, solution focused therapist who subscribes to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I use these treatment modalities/ideologies as a means to assisting my clients to explore where they are currently, where they would like to be, and take the necessary steps to get there. This allows my clients to witness their own growth and take ownership in their journey toward the best version of themselves. Authenticity and honesty are critical to the healing journey. I look forward to working with you and for you!

Growing up, my mother had substance use issues, my father wasn't emotionally present, my grandparents raised me, and I had my first therapeutic experience during this time. I remember never seeing anyone who looked like me. I became a mental health professional because I love to work with and for people, as they navigate life's struggles, and watch them learn to apply tools to manage life better.
I enjoy wine tasting, performing community service with my sorority, watching movies, relaxing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
I listen to motivating music and engage in pleasant conversations with loved ones.
A book of daily affirmations by Iyanla Vanzant because its a short read but very inspiring/motivating.
My favorite organization is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. It's my favorite because I'm a member and we do so much for the communities around the world from the USA, to Dubai, Korea, Ghana, and more. We were founded in 1908.
I love to take a day and treat myself to a great breakfast and a relaxing spa day.
