I have been a licensed therapist since 1989. I've been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is very helpful in treating depression and anxiety. Later on, I became interested in effective treatments for trauma and became a certified EMDR therapist in 2009. Since I also provide therapy in Spanish I have an understanding and sensitivity of the immigrant experience and the experience of children of immigrants. I believe my clients have innate strengths and wisdom and it's my pleasure and privilege to help them rediscover this.

I became a mental health professional because I believe that everyone has the right to heal from emotional pain. I enjoy listening to people's stories and delight in helping them overcome hardships.
I love music, going to concerts, singing, and learning how to play an instrument. I love to read, I like to hike, and I love to travel. I enjoy volunteering at animal shelters.
I meditate, walk my dog in nature, listen to music, and check in with my friends.
The Color of Water. It's such a compelling story and beautifully written.
International Red Cross. They help those who are in dire need.
Vacations, being in nature, spending time with friends, hearing or making music.
I have a 10 lb. rescue dog. He rescued me during the isolation of the pandemic. He jumps up and down when excited and it's hard to be in bad mood around that.
