My Therapy Style

Ever wanted to break the cycle of trauma? Now is the time. As a daughter of immigrant parents, a working mother, and a wife, I can see your resiliency and grit. Getting to this point has been challenging, but guess what? You're doing it.

With almost 15 years of working in this field, I have the skills to provide high-quality individual therapy sessions and develop comprehensive goals tailored to each client's unique needs. I have dedicated myself to improving the lives of individuals struggling with an array of mental health problems (i.e., depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, low self-esteem, etc.) and with a diverse set of backgrounds (i.e., undocumented Latinx individuals, military veterans, and families within the child welfare system).

To assist you in overcoming challenges and achieving personal growth, I will use evidence-based therapeutic interventions (i.e., client-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused brief therapy, trauma-informed approaches, etc.).

Let's increase your confidence in your ability to conquer your problems. I will provide you with compassionate support, a collaborative relationship, and a safe space that can often lend itself to moments of humor. We will build upon your strengths to assist you in taking the steps toward becoming a healthy and happier version of YOU. Don't be afraid. Let's begin this journey together.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I always knew I wanted to give back and advocate for those in need. When I was growing up, I didn't always have the perfect role model, but the help of those who believed in me pushed me to my limit. I truly believe that to break the cycle of trauma, one must learn to love oneself. My passion is to help others find their strengths and move forward in a positive manner.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time with my children and husband, exercising, attending concerts, getting together with friends, praying, and meditating.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I conduct myself with a high level of gratitude and truly believe that it grounds me. Maintaining a positive and curious mindset has helped me remain stable, humble, and passionate about helping others.

What book have you read more than once?

100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The magical realism in which he wrote always took me away from my problems and helped me daydream about another world or way of life. Great way to escape mentally!
