My Therapy Style

I often enter therapy sessions with a relaxed and welcoming style and approach. As I meet individuals who are experiencing several difficulties that impair their ability to achieve their goals, I assist them in identifying strategies and techniques to utilize that will tackle these difficulties head-on and reduce the complications they experience. Through psychoeducation and relationship building, I collaborate with clients to create an environment that is enjoyable and open to the human experience which makes it easier to address any complication that arises.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

Growing up I lived in an area where mental health treatment was undervalued and overlooked. I noticed there was an unwillingness to seek assistance for those who were struggling. While observing the negative impact untreated trauma had on an overall community, I became dedicated to eliminating the stigma placed on therapy and normalizing seeking assistance when having difficulty managing life stressors.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy playing and watching sports, reading, exercising, photography, and painting.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I like taking long walks.

What book have you read more than once?

Love's executioner by Irvin Yalom. Dr. Yalom is highly respected in the psychotherapy field and has a very unique writing style. Love's executioner explores Dr. Yalom's encounters with his patients and reflects on himself and his approach to his treatment of his patients. While this book explores real encounters, the writing style is similar to a fictional tale which makes it interesting and enjoyable to read.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by taking walks, exercising, taking photos, and socializing with others.
