I have a master's degree in Social Work. I have worked in the mental health area with adults and older adults since 2015. I have utilized modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused, and utilize tools from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, and mindfulness orientations.

I have also been trained in cultural humility and responsiveness, and have worked with populations from different cultural backgrounds such as different ethnicities, nationalities, socio-economic groups, and perinatal mental health as part of the LGBT community I have also been trained in working with the LGBTQ+ groups.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I wanted to explore more about myself and learn more about how interactions among people lead to relationships within myself and with others.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love nature and enjoy networking, pets, and learning new skills.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

NAMI because it supports to remove mental health stigma.

How do you recharge?

Resting and exercising.

Do you have any pets?

I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk so they can enjoy the outside all while holding my cat.
